SOCHI, March 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Alpine skier Alexei Bugayev has won the gold medal in standing super combined event at the XI Paralympic Winter Games in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi on Friday. He showed total result of 2:09.72 minutes in two disciplines - slalom and super-G.
This medal became already the fourth one for the 16-year-old Paralympian at the Sochi Paralympics. Bugaev has earlier won the gold medal in slalom, the silver medal in downhill event and the bronze medal in super-G race.
Matthias Lanzinger from Austria (2:10.82) has won the silver medal, Toby Kane from Australia (2:14.14) has grabbed the bronze medal.
As of now, Russian Paralympic team has won 60 medals (23 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 17 bronze medals) leading confidently in the medal standings.
