SOCHI, March 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian skier Marta Zaynullina was awarded with the bronze medal in women’s 1 km sprint sitting race at the Paralympic Winter Games in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi on Wednesday, the news service of the Sochi Paralympics reported.
This was reported after German skier Andrea Eskau taking the third place was moved to the last place in the final protocol over a protest from Russian cross-country skiing team. Zaynullina, who finished fourth, went up to the third place automatically.
This medal became the 47th for Russia at the Sochi Paralympics, as the country’s national team has won 16 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 13 bronze medals.
