SOCHI, March 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Three Russian biathletes have won a convincing victory in the men’s 12.5 km - sitting, capturing all medals.

Roman Petushkov grabbed gold finishing in a time of 34 minutes 48.8 seconds, without any miss. His compatriot Alexei Bychenok took the silver (35:29:7) pulling away from another Russian biathlete, Grigory Murygin, who finished in bronze position in a time of 35 minutes 59.6 seconds. Another Russian biathlete, Ivan Gonzharov, had to settle for the fourth place (36:42:5).

Roman Petushkov’s victory has brought the eighth gold medal to the Russian national team at the Sochi Paralympic Games. At the moment Russia is leading in the medal table with 28 medals (eight gold, 12 silver and eight bronze medals), well ahead of its closest rivals Germany and Ukraine.
