MOSCOW, March 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered military authorities to ensure security at the Paralympic Games taking place in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi from March 7 to 16.
“I demand that heads of military authorities take all necessary measures to ensure security at the forthcoming competitions,” Shoigu said at a teleconference from the Russian Defense Ministry's Situation Center on Tuesday.
“I would like to congratulate each and everyone on the successful completion of the Olympics, and also our counterparts who continue ensuring security at the Games,” he said.
“I hope they will honorably accomplish the set tasks and will return to their places of permanent location at the end of the Paralympics," Shoigu concluded.
