MOSCOW, March 02, /ITAR-TASS/. On Sunday, Russia’s Oryol will welcome the Paralympic torch relay.
“The first torch will be light from a feather, as the city is Russia’s third literature centre,” where many prominent Russian writers were born - Ivan Turgenev, Nikolai Leskov, Ivan Bunin, and others, head of the regional department on physical culture and sports Olga Smolina said.
In Bryansk, a spark for the relay will come from a glass forge at the local Crystal Factory.
In Tula, well-known as a centre for armory production, a spark will be lit from a strike of a hammer against an incus.
The town of Sasovo in the Ryazan region, which gave birth to aerostatics, will lit the first torch from a balloon burner.
The Paralympic torch in Tambov will be lit at the local railway station over a theatrical performance.
In Lipets, a spark will be taken from the flame of a pottery forge, where traditional toys are made.
A symbol of the Sun and Movement will lit a torch in Tver’s Constitution Square during a theatrical performance.
