MOSCOW, February 25. /ITAR-TASS/. More than 100 million Internet users visited the official Olympic website during Sochi Winter Olympic Games, Microsoft, the supplier of IT-solutions for the Olympic Games, reported on Tuesday.
According to the corporation, the biggest number of users came from Russia, the US, Canada, Ukraine and France. Figure skating events and the unofficial medal count were of the biggest interest.
More than 5 million users visited the website daily, looking through more than 30 million pages, Microsoft said. As a result, the total number of page views during the Olympics exceeded 500 million. More than 175,000 users were on the site at the same time during the peak traffic, which is 15 times more than the number of users at the time of minimal traffic.
