SOCHI, February 17. /ITAR-TASS/. Men's snowboard cross 1/8 final has been postponed until 2. 45 pm Monday because of a heavy fog looming over Sochi.
The fog has dispersed in the area of the finish line where the visibility has improved considerably.
The fog had thwarted all the qualifications on Monday; therefore, the Olympics snowboard race will start from 1/8 Final.
Men's mass start biathlon race scheduled in Sochi for Monday afternoon has also been postponed until Tuesday.
In fact, the mass start of the biathlon skiers was postponed twice already. Initially, the competition had been appointed for Sunday afternoon, then it was first postponed until 10.00 am Monday, but since weather conditions did not improve the biathlon race had to be postponed until Monday afternoon and finally, it was postponed until Tuesday.
No change in the schedule of women' biathlon race scheduled for 15:00 GMT Monday has been announced yet.
