BERLIN, February 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Sochi’s Winter Olympics are beyond all expectations, President of the International Ski Federation Gian Franco Kasper said in an interview published on Sunday in the German newspaper Sonntag Aktuell.
Kasper is confident that most things at the Sochi Games have been better so far than it was generally expected. And if casting a sharp glance at what had been done in recent years, this could be regarded as a tremendous success, Kasper said.
While visiting Sochi, Germany’s Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere underscored a very nice level of organisation of the Olympics.
The minister, who is in charge of sports development in his home country, told a news conference at the German House in Krasnaya Polyana, outside Sochi, that everyone had been telling him that these Games were one of the best from the point of view of their organisation.
