SOCHI, February 16, 10:48 /ITAR-TASS/. Alpine ski racers have begun a tournament in Men’s Supergiant at the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
The main aspirants for medals in it are the athletes from Italy, the U.S., Norway, Austria, Switzerland, and Croatia.
The Americans Bode Miller and Ted Ligety, Christof Innerhofer of Italy, Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway, and Ivica Kostelic of Croatia are the apparent favorites of the event.
Russia is represented by Alexander Glebov, Pavel Trikhichev, and Stepan Zuev.
