SOCHI, February 16, /ITAR-TASS/. Russian skeleton racer Elena Nikitina told Itar-Tass she lacked experience to win a higher Olympic medal.
Last Friday, February 14, Nikitina has won the bronze medal in women’s skeleton race.
“I raced each run with mistakes and taking this into account even the bronze medal is a perfect result. I lacked experience,” the Russian athlete said. “This is the first Olympics for me. There were so many people attending the competition that I might not cope with emotions,” she said.
The skeleton racer did not have enough time to study in detail with the coach her performance at the Olympics. “It (analysis) will be done upon arrival in Moscow,” Nikitina added.
