SOCHI, February 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Four Russian ski jumpers, Denis Kornilov, Dmitry Vasilyev, Ilmir Khazetdinov, and Alexei Romashov, have qualified for round 1 in men’s large hill individual at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
Kornilov took the 23rd position, having scored 104.0 point, Vasilyev was 26th (102.8), Khazetdinov was 32nd (93.8), and Romashov was 34th (91.8).
Michael Hayboeck of Austria showed the best result of 124.8. Japanese ski jumpers Daiki Ito and Reruhi Shimizu were second (122.0) and third (120.4), respectively.
Men’s large hill individual round 1 and finals will be held on Saturday, February 15.
