SOCHI, February 13. /ITAR-TASS/. Members of Switzerland’s Olympic delegation are perfectly satisfied with the organization of the Olympic Winter Games in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Swiss Ambassador to Russia Pierre Helg told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

“Members of the Olympic delegation told me that everything is very well arranged as far as the competitions themselves and the opportunities for athletes’ training and life are concerned,” he said.

Helg noted that he “has read many negative things in the Western media about how everything looked like (in Sochi) before the Olympics”, but none of those rumors turned out to be true.

Asked whether Switzerland had any fears Russian ski resorts might offer competition, Helg said his country “will only be glad to have new partners in the sphere of ski tourism”.

“We have a small territory and all places for mountain skiing have already been developed, built up and are usually crowded in the high season,” he added. “If part of tourists, including those from Russia, travel here, to Sochi, we will only be happy.”
