SOCHI, February 13, 2:46 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian ski jumper Mikhail Maksimochkin, who was taken to a Sochi-based hospital after a fall during his training jumps, will stay there till Thursday morning, spokeswoman for the Russian Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Federation Marina Kalinina told Itar-Tass.
“Examination revealed thorax and abdominal cavity contusions,” she said. “No serious injuries, traumas or fracture have been diagnosed. Maksimochkin will stay in hospital till morning, the decision about his further participation in competitions will be taken after consultations with medics.”
Men’s large hill individual qualifications and finals will take place in Sochi on February 14.
Maksimochkin took the 30th position in men’s normal hill individual on Sunday.
