SOCHI, February 12. /ITAR-TASS/. German skier Eric Frenzel won the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics gold in Nordic Combined showing on Wednesday the best aggregate result after the normal hill jump and 10 km Cross Country ski race.

Japan’s Akito Watabe showed the second result to take the silver and Norway’s Magnus Krog won the bronze.

Frenzel took the lead after putting up the best normal hill jump that brought him 131.5 points and then he completed the race in 23 minutes 50.2 seconds.

Russia’s Evgeni Klimov ranked third after the ski jump, but completed the following race in 28 minutes 4 seconds to eventually take the 45th place.
