Belorussian biathlete Darya Domracheva refused to comment on rumors of her having a romantic relationship with Norways great biathlete Ole Einar Bjorndalen.
Italian media began reporting of such an affair in 2012, after the famed Norwegian divorced his wife Nathalie Santer.
Belorussian biathlete Darya Domracheva Tuesday won Olympic gold in women’s 10 km pursuit finishing the distance in 29 minutes 30.7 seconds with a single missed shot.
Domracheva showed a heart with her hands on the finish line. When journalists asked her, she said she addressed the heart to her mother. "Let private remain private," Domracheva added.
Ole Einar Bjorndalen became 7-fold Olympic champion Feb. 8, winning gold in biathlon men’s 10 km sprint.
