SOCHI, February 10. /ITAR-TASS/. On the eve of the match against the US national team, the Russian women’s curling team should preserve the determination it showed in the starting match of the Sochi Olympics, Margarita Fomina, player on the Russian national team, told reporters.
The Russian female curling team beat Denmark 7-4 in the starting match on Monday.
“The American players are a serious rival to us,” Fomina said. “We have already competed and won from each other. It is important to us to remain determined, attentive and careful. It is important to perform well and achieve a good result. I don’t think, though, that there can be a weak team among the four best teams,” she said.
Russia-US women’s curling match is due on Tuesday.
