BEIJING, February 10. /ITAR-TASS/. China’s state general administration of physical culture and sports thanked Russia for an intention to support China’s bid for Beijing to host the Winter Olympics in 2022, representative of the administration Zhang Haifeng told Itar-Tass on Monday.
On February 9, Russian Minister of Sports Vitaly Mutko stated that Russia welcomed China’s intention to host the Winter Olympics in 2022 and is prepared to support China’s bid.
“I am impressed by level of preparedness of Sochi to the Winter Olympics, we are prepared to study and acquire experience of the Winter Olympics 2014,” Zhang Haifeng noted. “We thank Russia for an intention to support China’s bid to host the Winter Olympics in 2022,” he noted.
