MOSCOW, February 10, 0:41 /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's President Vladimir Putin will meet on Monday with the members of the Public Council for the holding of XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, the Kremlin press service reported.
The Public Council, set up in September 2009 on the initiative of city folk, is the opinion giver of Sochi residents on matters that are of current importance to the city. At the forthcoming meeting with the Head of State it is planned to discuss matters concerning the city's Olympic heritage, the state of interethnic relations, and the development of environmental awareness of citizens.
The RF President will also familiarize himself with the infrastructure of the Sea Passenger and Cruise Transportation Center built on the basis of the old seaport under the Programme for the Construction of Olympic Facilities and the Development of Sochi as a Mountain Climate Resort.
