SOCHI, February 09. /ITAR-TASS/. Sochi 2014 Organising Committee is pleased with the number of fans who visited the Olympic facilities on the first full-scale day of the Olympic competitions on Saturday, the committee’s press secretary Alexandra Kosterina said on Sunday.
“At least 92% of tickets were sold for Saturday’s competitions,” Kosterina said. “This is a good figure and we are pleased with this result as about 40,000 people visited the Olympic facilities.”
“Along with the competitions, lots of spectators came to see the first awarding ceremony,” she said. “We are hopeful the dynamics will only be upwards."
