SOCHI, February 8. /ITAR-TASS/. Skiers Yulia Chekaleva, Yulia Ivanova and Olga Kuzyukova will definitely take part in the 10 km individual classic style ski race scheduled for February 13 at Sochi Olympics, Russia’s team senior coach Grigory Menshenin told Itar-Tass.
“Chekaleva, Ivanova and Kuzyukova will definitely perform. We will think over the fourth candidature, since there is yet time left,” Menshenin noted.
Natalia Zhukova came 31st (40.15,5), Olga Kuznetsova — 21st (40.43,2), and Irina Khazova — 28th (41.00,3).
Norwegian skier Marit Bjorgen came first in cross-country ski race with a result of 38.33,6 seconds.
The silver medal went to Charlotte Kalla from Sweden (38.35,4), and another Norwegian athlete Heidi Weng (38.35,4) won the bronze.
