NEW YORK, February 07. /ITAR-TASS/. The opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games is being broadcast live from Russia’s Sochi at the United Nations headquarters in New York. Broadcasting was organized by the Russian mission at the United Nations.
“We have supplied equipment and specialists who mounted screens. Broadcasting is in two languages - Russian and English,” an officer from the Russian diplomatic mission told Itar-Tass.
Olympic events will be broadcast live here till the very closing of the Games.
At the initiative of Russia and Greece in November, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution in support of the Olympic truce during the Olympic Games in Sochi.
