STOCKHOLM, February 07. /ITAR-TASS/. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia plan going to Sochi to support the Swedish national team at the 22nd Winter Olympic Games that are to begin in a few hours’ time, a report published at the official website of the royal court said.
The visit of the royal couple will take place from February 14 through to February 16.
Carl XVI Gustaf is a devout sports fan, and he has always supported Swedish athletes at various competitions. His elder daughter, Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel exercise patronage over the national Paralympic team.
