SOCHI, February 06. /ITAR-TASS/. President of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov said that a Fan House which opened in Sochi earlier on Thursday will be able to welcome up to 10,000 fans every day.
“Everybody will be able to visit it during the Games. Any fan who is going to visit the House can become a member of the Russian Olympic team,” Zhukov said. He explained that the house featured sport equipment that once belonged to outstanding athletes, such as Alexander Zubkov’s bobsleigh or Alexander Tretyakov’s skeleton.
“Fans will have a chance to complete all the courses on a computer. They will be able to watch all competitions on a huge screen and cheer for their favorite teams and athletes. Fans will also be able to obtain all emblems and symbols. About 150 Olympic champions of the past will visit the House to meet fans during the Games,” Zhukov said.
