MINSK, February 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia has done its best for the Winter Olympics in the southern Russian city of Sochi to be held at worthy level, State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Grigory Rapota told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
“Everything has been done for the Olympics to be held at worthy level,” the state secretary said. He noted that the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi is an absolutely landmark event and everyone wants the competition to be held at a highest possible level. All speculations over construction of Olympic sites have receded to the background and all people live in anticipation of a great event, Rapota said. “What has been done there is a huge amount of work, colossal force and brainwork have been contributed to the Games. Everyone’s looking forward to the festivities,” the state secretary noted.
