SOCHI, February 06. /ITAR-TASS/. The security threat level in Sochi, Black Sea resort hosting of the Winter Olympic Games, is comparable to that in Boston - location of the marathon bombing - New York, London or anywhere else since terrorism knew no bounds, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak told a news conference at the Olympics media centre on Thursday.
“Our security services actively co-operate with counterparts in Europe and North America,” he said. “According to incoming data, there is no reason to think now that the threat level in Sochi will be higher than in any other place of our planet, whether in Boston, London, New York or Washington.”
Kozak said Russia could guarantee security at the Olympic Games in the same way as at any other public event.
