SOCHI, February 5. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian athletes are very well prepared for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said on Wednesday.
“We have an excellent and interesting team,” he said. “Young people seem to have prepared very well for the Olympics. It is necessary to ensure they manage to efficiently display their potential. And good success should certainly attend them.”
Mutko said he stayed together with Russian athletes in Sochi and every day met with Russian teams.
“I saw our bobsleighers the day before yesterday and visited the mount cluster the other day,” he said. “Soon I will also meet with representatives of different states.”
The XXII Olympic Winter Games will take place in the Black Sea resort of Sochi from February 7 to 23.
