SOCHI, February 5. /ITAR-TASS/. The quality of ice inside the Olympic Adler-Arena Skating Center is getting better every day, because staff in charge for the rink do their best to meet the athletes’ preferences after every training session, Russian speed skater, the Sochi Olympics debutante Anna Chernova told Itar-Tass.

“The ice is different every day. However, I still have some difficulties in skating there”, Chernova, the runner-up in women’s 5000-meter race at the Russian Speed Skating Championships in 2013, confessed. She said the center’s staff asked the skaters their opinions and fixed the ice after every training session. “I should admit the improvements are notable, but it still remains to be seen what the ice will be like at the Games”, added the skater.

Chernova said she was feeling increasingly better and making fewer mistakes every day. “I am in good shape at the moment”, she concluded.

Speed skating competition is scheduled for February 8 and will end on February 22.
