SOCHI, February 05. /ITAR-TASS/. President of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov said he was glad to take part in a session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Sochi as an incumbent member.
“That’s good that I took part in my first IOC session in Sochi. The session is remarkable because it will be the first one to be led by IOC President Thomas Bach,” Zhukov said.
“I’m worried a little. But I hope to work excellently,” the president of the Russian Olympic Committee said.
The IOC pre-Olympic session is traditionally held in the capital of the Olympic Games several days before the competitions start. The session will elect a vice-president and a member of the IOC Executive Committee.
