ASTANA, February 05. /ITAR-TASS/. Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev has wished Russia great success in holding the Olympic Games in Sochi.
In an annual meeting with heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, Nazarbayev said, “We’re meeting on the eve of the important event - the 22nd Winter Olympic Games, which will be held on the territory of the CIS for the first time. I want to wish the organizers and our strategic partner, the Russian Federation, great success.”
Nazarbayev also wished all national teams “bright sport victories and performances.”
“We hope that Kazakstan’s application to hold the 24th Olympic Games in Almaty will be supported,” the Kazakhstani president said.
