SOCHI, January 31. /ITAR-TASS/. President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach has arrived in Russia’s Black Sea resort city of Sochi, where the 2014 Winter Games open with a solemn ceremony next Friday.
On Friday, Sochi airport was receiving planes with IOC officials, arriving from Istanbul, Zurich, Munich and other cities across the globe for the XXII Olympic Winter Games on February 7-23.
The Russian Sport Ministry told ITAR-TASS earlier that while in Sochi Bach will hold the 126th session of the IOC and chair the IOC Executive Committee meetings, scheduled for February 2 and 3.
