MOSCOW, January 31. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev suggested awarding volunteers who work well at major sport events at a ceremony of presentation of the Russian president’s Certificates of Merit to the winners of the 2013 Summer University Games held in Kazan.

Medvedev said that the authorities had tried to use the experience of the University Games when they prepared the infrastructure for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games and organized the work of volunteers who created a special atmosphere at stadiums, helping athletes and fans.

Medvedev told Russian Sport Minister Vitaly Mutko that he could think of ways of awarding the best volunteers for doing a good job.

“I would say that we could even think of awarding the most volunteering volunteers,” the Russian prime minister said.
