First Russian truck convoy arrives in Syria’s Douma

Russia has sent construction equipment and pipes to Douma to assist in the reconstruction of the local water supply system and energy system

MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. The First Russian truck convoy arrived in the Syrian town of Douma on Friday, Head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria Major General Yuri Yevtushenko said.

"A Russian truck convoy has arrived in Douma to provide assistance to the town’s residents in their efforts to restore normal life," he said. "A loader and a bulldozer, as well as construction supplies, have been handed over to the town administration," he added.

Russia has sent construction equipment and pipes to Douma to assist in the reconstruction of the local water supply system and energy system. Another five such convoys are expected to arrive in Douma in the coming days.
