The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival officially opened on January 5, 2018. The Harbin festival is now the largest one in the world. It has been held since 1963. This year, sculpturers from 12 countries are participating in the ice sculpture contest. Some 180,000 cubic meters of ice and 150,000 cubic meters of snow were used to build the 800,000 square-meters ice and snow world.
