MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. British singer and composer Elton John spoke highly of his meeting with Russia’s Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova in Moscow. The two discussed measures to fight AIDS.

The musician posted his joint photo with the Russian minister on Instagram on Friday.

"So delighted to have the chance to discuss with Dr. Skvortsova closer collaboration between the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Ministry of Health to fight AIDS in Russia," the musician wrote. He also called this cooperation "important and urgent work".

The Elton John AIDS Foundation was founded in 1992 to finance AIDS programs. On Thursday, the singer performed in the Russian capital. During the concert Elton John, in particular, noted that his foundation and Russia’s Health Ministry had agreed on a closer partnership in order to fight AIDS in Russia.
