MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. "Loveless" by Russian film director Andrey Zvyagintsev was among nine films in the shortlist of the Foreign Language Film category for the 90th Academy Awards.

The shortlist also includes films from Chile, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Lebanon, Senegal, South Africa and Sweden.

The five official nominees from the list are expected to be announced on January 23.

A total of 92 films had originally been considered for the award. The 90th Oscars ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 and televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
