MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. As many as 35% of Russians anticipate that their lives will improve, while 40% do not expect to see any changes, the All-Russia Public Opinion Research Center said in a statement.
"More than one-third of Russians (35%) expect their situation in life and that of their families to improve, while 15% hold a negative view, and 40% believe that their life won’t change much in a year’s time," the statement reads.
Around 65% of those surveyed said that their financial situation was average. One-fifth of the poll’s participants are not satisfied with their economic situation, whereas only 14% said that they were satisfied, the pollster said.
Every third Russian considers the political situation in the country to be "good" or "very good," 47% approve of the government’s political course, the pollster added.
The nationwide poll involving 1,800 people was conducted on November 27-30, 2017. The margin of error does not exceed 2.5% at the 95% confidence level.
