Russian tycoon to open hotel near Kremlin in 2019

Shater Trading House owned by Russian businessman Mikhail Khubutiya will have a new hotel up and running in downtown Moscow near the Kremlin by March 2019

MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. Shater Trading House owned by Russian businessman Mikhail Khubutiya will have a new hotel up and running in downtown Moscow near the Kremlin by March 2019, the tycoon told TASS on Wednesday.

"Indeed it is so," Khubutiya said, confirming information about the property commissioning deadline published earlier by the Moscow committee on investments in construction projects. The entrepreneur did not provide any details on the amount of the investment.

"This will be a hotel," Khubutiya told TASS. The mass media earlier reported that the hotel would bear the Hilton brand but the executive did not confirm that.

The flat-topped building will have five storeys and a total area of 16,200 square meters. Offices and the hotel reception will be on the first floor and 52 guest rooms will be on all the other floors.

The building will also have two underground parking levels. The developer plans to set up open terraces for summer cafes or recreation areas in the courtyard. The building design caters to its location in the protection zones of the Kremlin, Moscow authorities noted.
