Since August 2014, the Russian Emergencies Ministry has sent 71 humanitarian convoys to southeastern Ukraine

MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Russia will continue providing humanitarian aid to the Lugansk and Donetsk regions in 2018, Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said at a TASS press conference.

"We are working on the 2018 plans. More aid will be provided," he said.

According to Puchkov, Russia’s Emergencies Ministry has been implementing plans of international humanitarian operations to assist Donbass residents. "We have been strictly abiding by the Minsk Agreements and cooperating with the International Committee of the Red Cross," the minister stressed.

He pointed out that since August 2014, the Russian Emergencies Ministry had sent 71 humanitarian convoys to southeastern Ukraine. "It allowed us to provide aid to those in need, particularly to elderly persons and children, as well as to restore infrastructure and energy facilities to the minimum extent necessary," the Russian emergencies minister said.
