Textbook with map featuring Crimea as part of Russia published in Germany

In the book, Crimea is depicted in the same color as Russia

BERLIN, March 31. /TASS/. Germany’s Telc GmbH specializing in German language and integration textbooks and study aids has released a manual with a political map of the world featuring the Crimean Peninsula as Russia’s territory.

"I know nothing about that. Probably, it is a mistake. I must check this information," a company spokeswoman told TASS on Friday. She said the situation will be probed into.

The map is placed after the textbook’s last page, on the back flyleaf. Crimea is depicted in the same color as Russia.

TASS has a copy of this textbook. Crimea and Sevastopol adopted declarations of independence on March 11, 2014. They held a referendum on March 16, 2014, in which 96.77% of Crimeans and 95.6% of Sevastopol voters chose to secede from Ukraine and join the Russian Federation.
