MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. Russian historical drama Viking will be released in Italy and the UK, Central Partnership company told TASS on Wednesday.
"The company inked a deal on selling rights for the Viking film in Italy and the United Kingdom," the spokesperson said. "In Italy and Italian-speaking countries, the deal was sealed with the Eagle major distributor, and in the UK with the Arrow Films."
Viking, directed by Andrey Kravchuk and produced by Konstantin Ernst and Anatoly Maksimov, was released in Russia on December 29, 2016. The film is based on Russian medieval chronicles, telling the story of Prince Vladimir, starred by Danila Kozlovsky. Viking has taken over 1.5 billion rubles ($25 mln) and has been watched by 5.5 million viewers.
