MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. More than a hundred people were detained in central Moscow during an unauthorized rally, a source at law enforcement authorities told TASS on Sunday.

"The latest information is about at least 100 detained - they are taken to different police stations, not only to the Central, but to other districts, too," the source said.

The source refuted the information in some media that police had used rubber batons and pepper gas, saying: "This information is not true, the police working in central Moscow are not equipped with special means."

The situation is quiet now, the participants remain on either sides of the street.
