MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Police have found two knives inside a car that ploughed into pedestrians in Islington, North London, on Saturday, Scotland Yard said.

The incident occurred at 10.55 pm local time. Four people were injured, and three of them were hospitalized. Their injuries are not treated as life threatening.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of points and blades.

London has been on high alert after March 22 when terrorist Khalid Masood drove his car into pedestrians and three police officers on London’s Westminster Bridge. Afterwards, he left the car and ran into the premises of Parliament, trying to enter the building armed with a knife. He stabbed an unarmed police officer, who later died from the wounds in hospital. Later, police shot the attacker dead. Four died in the attack and about fifty more were injured. The Metropolitan Police said the incident was a terrorist attack.

Scotland Yard said Masood acted alone and there was no information to suggest that new attacks were planned.
