MOSCOW, March 8. /TASS/. An apparently unbalanced individual who had taken a hostage and threatened to blow up an apartment house in the southern district of the capital has been detained, Moscow's police press service told TASS.
According to official reports, nobody was injured, when police stormed the apartment to capture the suspect.
"Police officers have detained the man who had taken a hostage in an apartment house on Musa Jalilya Street, while acting severely unhinged. The perpetrator is in custody and has been hauled into a local police station to undergo questioning. Nobody was hurt during the incident," the report stated.
According to preliminary information, the detainee was heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident.
