5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Russia’s Kamchatka

No injuries or damage have been reported

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, December 2. /TASS/. An earthquake with the magnitude of 5.3 has struck off Russia’s Far Eastern Kamchatka peninsula, seismologists in the administrative center of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky told TASS on Friday.

"A 5.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 05:05 GMT (08:05 Moscow Time) on December 2," a spokesperson for the seismic station said. The epicenter of the quake was in the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

The quake was not felt in the settlements of the Kamchatka Territory. No injuries or damage have been reported.
