Six die in fire in Russia's Tver region — ministry

Six people, including five children, died in the fire in a residential house

TVER, November 15. /TASS/. Six people, including five children, died in the fire in the Spirovsky district in the Tver Region, the press service of the local Russian Emergencies Ministry's department told TASS on Tuesday.

"Information about the fire in a residential house at Tsentralnaya Street in the village of Penkovo was received at 2:59am Moscow time. According to preliminary information, a woman and five children died," the press service said.

A man was injured in the fire as well. He was hospitalized with burns of moderate severity.

Rescuers extinguished fire at 3:50am Moscow time. A total of 35 people and 14 units of equipment were invovled in the effort.
