Partial ruining of dwelling-house in central Russian city takes away 5 human lives

One of the victims was a four-year-old child

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Bodies of five people have been found under the rubble of a dwelling-house in the city of Ivanovo, some 300 km to the northeast of Moscow, some sections of which collapsed in the early hours of Monday following an explosion of household gas, a source at the Ivanovo region branch of the Ministry for Emergency Situations told TASS.

He said one of the victims was a four-year-old child.

The first report on the accident in a two-story residential building that consists of there sections came at 04:15. The explosion destroyed two apartments. By a lucky chance it did not produce any fire.

People living in the house were evacuated to a local hotel. The regional bureau of Russia's Investigations Committee has opened an inquiry into the incident.
