MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. A team of repair workers commissioned to refurbish the building of a downtown Moscow district court have found a cache containing firearms and play money ruble banknotes, the court’s press-service told TASS.
"Just recently this part of the court building housed the investigative authorities. Repairs began after they had moved elsewhere. That’s how the cache was unearthed," the court’s spokeswoman said.
At the moment the items were discovered, the court had no bearing on that part of the building. The matter is currently being investigated by the authorities.
Among the contents uncovered by the repair workers were several pieces of firearms, cartridges and ‘funny’ money, with each bill having a denomination of 5,000 rubles.
