Uzbek plane with failed engine safely lands at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo airport

ST. PETERSBURG, August 7. /TASS/. An Uzbekistan Airways passenger plane that was getting prepared for an emergency landing over a failed engine has safely landed at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo airport, a spokesman for the airport told TASS on Sunday.

"The plane safely landed at 16:32 Moscow time," the spokesman said.

According to earlier reports, the Boeing-737 was bound from St. Petersburg to Uzbekistan’s Fergana. One of its engines failed shortly after the takeoff.
