Cargo train in Moscow region knocks two teenage girls to death

MOSCOW, July 19. /TASS/. A cargo train moving along the Moscow-Pavelets line knocked to death two teenage girls about overnight to Tuesday, the Transport Police Department of the Russian Interior Ministry said in an updated report.

"The tragic accident occurred at around midnight at the section of the line between the stations Barybino and Mikhnevo at the 66th kilometer of the line," the press service of the department said. "A cargo train knocked two teenagers to death. Visually, they were fourteen or fifteen years old."

It is not ruled out the girls were listening to something through headphones and did not hear the engine driver’s signal.

At the time of reporting, the investigators were establishing the personal identities of the girls.
