Nine people killed in bus and KAMAZ truck collision in Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA, July 13. /TASS/. The number of people killed in the collision of a passenger bus and a KAMAZ truck in Tarumovsky District of the Republic of Dagestan rises to 9, representative of the law enforcement body of the republic told TASS on Wednesday.

"According to preliminary information, two more people died in hospital. Thus, the death toll rises to nine people," the representative said.

Press service of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Dagestan told TASS, 27 people were injured in the road accident.

Earlier, the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan told TASS that there were 7 victims of the accident, according to the preliminary estimations.

The collision of a passenger bus from Derbent to Anapa and KAMAZ truck happened on the Makhachkala-Astrakhan federal highway near Talovka village in Tarumovsky district. 40 people and 13 units of equipment in total were involved in rectification of the collision consequences. There was no fire, the road was not blocked.
